This is a versatile roll of cellophane wrapping paper. It is a good weight and thickness -- not thin and delicate where it would tear easily, but not a heavy-duty wrap either. It is very clear and I find it easy to work with as it doesn't tend to stick to itself and crinkle up. I wasn't sure about the wrap being folded in half, though. I've only purchased regular rolls of cellophane in the past. As it turns out, this works well enough for small and medium sized baskets that I can just place right on the fold and draw it up so the crease is at each side and ends up hidden in the folds created when I tie it at the top. This doesn't work as well for larger baskets, but if I cut two lengths of the wrap to make a cross, I can place the basket in the center and I get good coverage and the fullness can disguise the slits if I want, or I can lightly crumple the edges for a cute ripply effect. My favorite way to use this though, is to simply leave it folded. I just use the double fold of wrap and loosen the outer layer around the top and either leave it loose or fold it down. This works really well for small or medium-sized items that I want to place in a gift bag. I tried this with several stuffed animals of different sizes (those cute commemorative "graduation teddy bears") that I wrapped and they came out even better than I imagined. I think this would be a cute way to add another layer to an already wrapped gift, too. I think this wrap is well worth the modest price and since there is 100' on the roll, even if I mostly use it still folded, I will still have plenty of cellophane to wrap lots of

I'll start by stating at no point did I think this cellophane wrap would tear. The quality and thickness are outstanding. The clear, see through look is another positive. I very quickly wrapped a basket using it. The key for me was to wrap horizontally instead of vertically. I wanted to go vertical but I really like the quality of the wrap and didn't want to waste an inch of it. If I were wrapping a basket for an adult, I'd wrap vertical and use another piece covering what the first piece didn't. But for a kids basket, the horizontal wrap with tape was perfect. It gave a great presentation and was quickly ripped open to get what was inside the basket.
